As the thread title implies, color setting tags aren't being stripped out of player output. If I, for example, enter the command "say <roomtitle>test</>", the say string will show up as whatever color the roomtitle color is set too. It is possible to set several different colors throughout the sentence. Try "say <roomtitle>T</><news>e</><people>s</><exits>t</>" for a very pretty rainbow effect Cheesy

Something to add: ANSI color codes are being counted towards the total amount of characters in a line, messing with the wrap length of any lines with colors in them. For example, if I have an 80 length word wrap, the following line (My prompt) wraps and looks really messed up and ugly:

Code:
"H:<#{h_color}>#{info.stats.health}</>/<green>#{info.stats.max_health}</> M:<#{m_color}>#{info.stats.mana}</>/<green>#{info.stats.max_health}</> [<green>#{balance}</> <brightyellow>#{blind}#{deaf}#{prone}</>] #{IAC + GA}"

Without the colors, that line only comes up to 30 characters or so; nowhere near 80.

I'm not sure exactly how to fix this. I need to go to bed now, but I'll take a look tomorrow and see what I can find. It's been bothering me for quite a while, but I've been having trouble fixing it.

I agree, this has bothered me for a while, but it wasn't too bad so I tried to ignore it Smiley

I think this mostly fixes the second issue (wrapping). The first issue does not bother me enough to fix yet.

Thanks for the fix to the second bug, it's much appreciated, and it works perfectly so far.

As for the first bug, thinking about it again, some MUDs consider players being able to color their newsposts, says, tells, etc a feature, even though it's not something I'd want in my MUD. But I agree that it's not very pressing, either.
