I've been getting a ridiculous number of spam registrations every day lately. The valid registrations (of which there have been very few) are hard to find in the deluge of spam, so I have gone ahead and disabled registrations for now.

Perhaps updating the forum software to SMF 2.0 would make it less vulnerable to spam. I didn't read the SMF change log since version 1.1.14 though so I dunno if upgrading would actually do the trick or not. But if nothing else version 2.0 would be more secure.

I saw the 2.0 release, but I'm hesitant to upgrade until I have time to deal with the potential fallout from doing so Smiley
